All candidates take three papers:
Students who have studied the Core syllabus should be entered for Paper 1, Paper 3 and Paper 6. The highest grade that can be achieved with Core syllabus is a C.
The content and the questions for the Core syllabus are relatively musch easier than the Extended syllabus
Students who have studied the Extended syllabus, should be entered for Paper 2, Paper 4 and Paper 6. Students can achieve an A* as their highest grade
Paper 1: the exam comprises 40 multiple-choice questions that should be completed within 45 minutes. This paper weighs 30% of your overall grade
Paper 3: short-answer and structured questions that should be answered within 75 min. This paper weighs 50% of your overall grade
Paper 6: this paper is designed to test your practical skills (check the textbook for a full description). It is composed of two questions that should be answered within 60 min. This paper weighs 20% of your overall grade.
